Requirements for the Core Training Program…
Class Placement: We strive to teach all
classes to a well-balanced group of dancers. Students will be placed in classes
according to their experience and level as a dancer. Changes are made only upon
recommendation of the instructor. New students will be evaluated during the
first few classes to assure proper placement. Students should expect to remain
in a class level for at least three years. Students need to learn new skills
and master old skills prior to advancement.
Core Training Program
This dance program
is for the dedicated dancer wishing to receive more intense training in Ballet
and Jazz. Dancers will receive personal corrections and attention from our
professional and qualified staff. Dancers that participate in this program are
dedicated, attentive, motivated and excited about the art of dance and wish to
pursue a quality dance background. This program is for dancers who want to
build strength, agility, precision and self confidence through the art of
dance. The focus of “core” training is to
prepare students for professional or educational dance in the future.
Dancers MUST have
steady attendance in order to benefit from this program. Please see the Guidelines
& Policies sheet for attendance and dress code requirements.
Pointe classes will be offered with instructor approval only.
MINIMUM WEEKLY REQUIREMENTS:
Ballet Intro 1 Class per week
Ballet 1 Year 1 1 Class per week
Ballet 1 Year 2
& up 2 Classes per week
Ballet 2 2-3 Classes per week
(3rd class is by invite only)
Ballet 3 3-4
Classes per week (4th class is by invite only)
Ballet 4 4 Classes per week
Ballet 5 4 Classes per week
Jazz Intro 1 Class per week
Jazz 1 Year 1 1 Class per week
Jazz 1 Year 2 &
up 2 Classes per week
